About The Position

The Event Server is responsible for providing friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all guests. They ensure efficient banquet service operations, working closely with the beverage team and kitchen to coordinate food and beverage presentation and delivery times. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of related experience and/or training in a high-volume restaurant.
Proficiency with Point-of-Sale systems.
Must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, issued by the city of San Diego.
Reliable transportation is necessary

Responsibilities

Execute banquet events according to orders, completing all assigned tasks and duties.
Assign opening and closing duties to servers, ensuring they fulfill their tasks effectively.
Collaborate with kitchen staff for buffet replenishment and timing of plated events.
Maintain and store event equipment and supplies appropriately.
Be responsible for rental equipment at the conclusion of events.
Welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to.
Set up and tear down banquet areas, handling linens, place settings, and buffet items.
Arrange banquet rooms according to function sheets and instructions.
Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests from the kitchen and bar.
Pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages responsibly.
