About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets is hiring Event Servers to support off-site weddings, corporate events, parties, and other celebrations at venues throughout the Hampton Roads area. Schedules are flexible and event-based, making the role suitable as a second job alongside work, school, family, or other commitments. Events often take place during evenings and weekends, though timing varies. Servers work with a team to help events run smoothly and provide guests with a positive experience.

Requirements

• Be dependable and show up for committed shifts.
• Enjoy working with people and providing great service.
• Be able to follow directions and step in where needed.
• Pay attention to details.
• Have a positive, can-do attitude.
• Be comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Be able to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous catering, banquet, restaurant, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help set up and break down events.
• Serve food and beverages and assist guests.
• Learn the catering menu and answer basic questions about the food being served.
• Keep event spaces clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Work as part of a team to manage event details from start to finish.
