About The Position

Drive trucks equipped with concrete mixers to transport and dump concrete. The role includes operating the mixer drum and truck controls to place concrete, inspecting the vehicle and equipment, maintaining a daily log, and performing basic equipment maintenance as needed. Work must comply with applicable safety policies and DOT standards. Overtime is required.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Acceptable vision for day and night driving.
• Must possess a Real ID to access military bases, or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to do basic math.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to climb up and down a ladder and in and out of a truck throughout the workday.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry chutes.
• Able to perform assigned tasks involving climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, vibration, and reaching.
• Physical strength sufficient to carry out the duties of the role.
• Able to work overtime.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a concrete mixer truck to transport and dump concrete.
• Operate levers to turn the mixer drum and dump its contents.
• Use hand and foot controls to move the truck forward and backward to aid concrete placement.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies in accordance with CDL pre-trip guidelines.
• Use hand tools when necessary.
• Oil, lubricate, and perform general equipment maintenance as required.
• Follow DOT standards and requirements.
• Maintain a daily log.
• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety policies and procedures.
