About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring Event Security personnel to work at major conventions, concerts, trade shows, sporting events, and other venues. The position focuses on guest and venue safety while delivering superior customer service. It is part-time gig work offering supplemental income and flexible scheduling, with work scheduled for under 30 hours per week. Pay is $18–$20 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Nevada PILB Security License is required.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
• Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing incoming and outgoing traffic.
• Screen guests at entry through bag searches, hand-wand or metal-detector screening, and ID verification.
• Watch vital checkpoints for security breaches to protect guests, staff, and venue assets.
• Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejection is warranted.
• Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
• Provide a positive guest experience at entrances, aisles, concourses, and other assigned locations.
• Give guests helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
