About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring part-time Event Security staff in Punta Gorda, Florida. The role supports event-day preparation and operations at venue entrances and other areas, helping maintain safety while providing a positive guest experience. Duties include checking bags, enforcing access control, applying venue policies and procedures, and assisting guests. No prior experience is required. A current Florida State Security D License is required. The position pays $17 per hour, offers flexible scheduling under 30 hours per week, and includes weekly pay.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must hold a current Florida State Security D License.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing incoming and outgoing traffic.
Screen guests at entry by searching bags, using hand wands or metal detectors, and verifying identification.
Monitor vital checkpoints for security breaches to protect guests, staff, and venue assets.
Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Provide a positive experience for guests at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, and other assigned locations.
Give guests helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
