About The Position

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with the resort management and events teams to ensure the successful promotion, booking, and execution of weddings, parties, and group events. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality guest experiences and maintaining a professional environment.

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales or event experience in the hospitality industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Resort experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and event planners.
  • Conduct market research to identify new social business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Work closely with the resort management team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the events staff to promote and book weddings, parties, and group events.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing regular reports for upper management.
  • Interact and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, caterers, vendors, and guests.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment and demeanor.
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner – no later than 24 hours.
  • Maintain office and venue aesthetics when hosting tours or appointments.
  • Create and distribute event information to respective staff and departments.
  • Oversee event set-up per the client’s specifications.
  • Ensure total compliance with contracts, rules, and local regulations.
  • Assist and support the Events Team.
  • Coordinate with vendors before and on the day of the wedding.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Attend Team meetings at any venue as needed.
