Meeting Tomorrow
•$75,286 - $94,107

About The Position

The Event Project Manager manages a high volume of audiovisual (AV) production projects for small to mid-sized corporate events across a wide range of clients and industries. As the client’s main point of contact and Meeting Tomorrow’s representative, this person guides events from initial conversations through execution and final invoicing, ensuring that client goals and expectations are met. The role involves identifying gaps in event plans, recommending solutions, and keeping clients, vendors, venues, and internal teams aligned and on schedule. The position manages project scope, timelines, and budgets, and advises clients on AV production best practices for in-person and hybrid events. It also bridges clients and creative teams, oversees creative deliverables and vendor logistics, tracks assets, manages purchase orders, and negotiates terms with a focus on the client’s budget. The Event Project Manager prepares onsite staff in partnership with Production Managers and provides onsite leadership during events. Approximately 10–15% travel, or about 2–3 days per month, is required. Meeting Tomorrow is a full-service event agency with planning, production, and creative divisions. The company is headquartered in Chicago, with about 80% of its 90-person team working remotely across the country. Its culture emphasizes customer experience, collaboration, kindness, commitment, humility, and an inclusive workplace. In the first month, the new hire will learn the company’s services and event-management practices and meet Project Management, Production, Creative, and Sales team members. Within three months, the person is expected to build client and internal relationships, develop working processes, become proficient with NetSuite and Backstage, and help manage an event series for premier clients. Within six months, the person should manage accounts autonomously, complete team-efficiency projects, and demonstrate problem-solving and contingency-planning skills while striving to exceed client expectations.
