About The Position

KemperSports LIVE is hiring an Event Coordinator to support its event team in hospitality, sponsorship coordination, participant communications, and event operations for the 2027 McDonald’s All American Games. The role introduces the successful candidate to athletic event management, communications, and brand activation. The position is based at KemperSports LIVE’s Northbrook, Illinois office and involves working in the office 2–4 days per week. Typical hours are 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some travel and extended hours based on event schedules. The position is full-time, hourly, and temporary, with pay of $22 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, or a similar industry; applicants must be a senior or have a degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency and interest in events, event operations, and travel coordination.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
• Strong customer service skills by telephone, in person, and in writing.
• Fluency with Office programs, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and write English, communicate verbally with staff and/or customers, give and/or follow verbal and written instructions, and retrieve, read, and interpret information from technical sources.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend, and kneel for up to 10 hours at a time; lift up to 30 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internships or experience in the sporting event industry.
• Desktop publishing or design skills, such as Photoshop, PageMaker, or Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day contact with event participants before the 2027 McDonald’s All American Games, including registration, travel coordination, and tracking data for event partners.
• Assist with planning, setup, execution, and post-event recapping for information center management.
• Assist with event operations and logistics planning for the McDonald’s All American Games.
