Event & Community Manager

Joe & the Juice / United States•New York, NY
•Onsite

About The Position

JOE & THE JUICE is seeking an energetic, organized, hands-on Event & Community Manager to join its US Brand & Culture team. Based in the NYC HQ office, this role focuses primarily on bringing new stores to life across the US, working closely with the Senior Event & Community Manager to create openings that feel connected to their neighborhoods from the first local partnership through opening day. The role also supports other brand, community, and cultural events across US markets. It requires someone comfortable managing several projects, working with local partners, solving problems, and being on the ground to make events happen—not just planning from a desk. The position supports new-store opening planning and execution, local outreach and partnerships, event activations, and community building. It also helps coordinate fitness, wellness, music, culture, and lifestyle events and contributes to the improvement of JOE’s store-opening and event playbooks. The manager coordinates with internal teams and external vendors, keeps timelines, budgets, contacts, and event details organized, tracks event spending, and documents results and lessons learned. Travel and evening or weekend work may be required when openings and events call for it.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in events, community, hospitality, experiential marketing, brand activations, or a similar role.
  • Experience working on events or activations from planning through execution.
  • Exceptional organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
  • Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable reaching out to people and building relationships.
  • Creative and culturally curious, with a good understanding of music, fitness, wellness, food, fashion, and lifestyle.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where plans can change quickly.
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends when events and openings require it.
  • Strong attention to detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to help move, fix, pick up, set up, or solve practical problems.
  • Understands that successful events center on people and experience, not just production.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of new JOE & THE JUICE store openings across the US.
  • Own day-to-day opening event checklists and keep tasks moving toward opening day.
  • Coordinate opening-day activations, local partnerships, DJs, fitness studios, creators, businesses, and community partners.
  • Identify relevant local people, businesses, communities, and cultural partners near new stores.
  • Coordinate with local teams, Juicers, HQ, and other internal teams so participants understand plans and timing.
  • Organize event materials, giveaways, sampling, signage, music, staffing, and other opening-day needs.
  • Build energy around new openings before, during, and after opening day; support local outreach and community building.
  • Attend openings on the ground when needed and help ensure events run smoothly.
  • Help build and improve the store-opening playbook.
  • Support the Senior Event & Community Manager with JOE events, activations, and community initiatives.
  • Help execute fitness, wellness, music, culture, and lifestyle events and support partnerships with local businesses, studios, creators, artists, DJs, and communities.
  • Coordinate events from initial idea through execution and wrap-up, including guest lists, RSVPs, materials, gifting, product, staffing, and logistics.
  • Help create engaging events and support events across JOE markets and cities when needed.
  • Research and build relationships with local communities, businesses, gyms, studios, creators, universities, cultural organizations, and other partners.
  • Identify opportunities for JOE to participate in local communities and help make new stores community hubs.
  • Monitor local activity and bring new ideas to the team.
  • Manage multiple projects and store openings at once; organize timelines, budgets, contacts, and event details.
