Evening Supervisor (RN)
About The Position
The Evening Supervisor (RN) assists the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in overseeing evening functions of the Nursing Department to help ensure the highest degree of quality care. The role supervises and supports resident care, provides direct nursing care when needed, maintains accurate resident documentation, and contributes to campus preparedness and tours. The position works evening shifts of eight hours, Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation commitment. The start time is at the discretion of the DON. It is located at Kingston Health Center of Vermilion in Vermilion, Ohio.
Requirements
- Current, valid state RN license that is maintained.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the ADON and DON in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the nursing service department and its programs and activities in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Supervise, oversee, and assist with resident care according to assessed resident status and established plans of care.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary in accordance with resident assessments, physician orders, and plans of care.
- Assess residents for expected results of treatments and medications.
- Assist with scanning and attaching resident documentation in MatrixCare to ensure medical records are complete and accurate.
- Maintain welcoming first impressions for potential customers.
- Participate in survey and mock-survey campus preparedness.
- Ensure the campus is tour ready, including backup team resources, tour path, model room, first impressions, and tour stations.
- Execute tours as necessary.
