About The Position

Servers at Chaz on the Plaza provide high-quality, efficient, and courteous service to guests. The role involves taking food and beverage orders, retrieving and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to guest tables, collecting payments, and helping keep service areas and equipment clean. The position requires a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may require standing or walking for an entire shift.

Requirements

English fluency is required.
Ability to input and access information in computers.
Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness and ability to stand or walk for an entire shift if needed.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is a plus.
Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

Approach guests and employees with a smile.
Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant menus and specials.
Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of the service bar, bar tables, stations, and service areas.
Take guest orders quickly and accurately.
Accommodate guest requests or offer appropriate alternatives.
Check that guests are enjoying their meals and address problems as needed.
Prepare meal checks and collect payments, including operating the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change, and processing gift cards, room credits, and vouchers.
Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
