About The Position

Servers at Chaz on the Plaza at The Raphael Hotel provide guests with efficient, courteous, high-quality service. The Restaurant Server takes food and beverage orders, retrieves and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to guest tables, collects payments, and helps keep the service area and equipment clean.

Requirements

English fluency is required.
Ability to input and access information in computers.
Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness and ability to stand or walk for the entire shift if needed.
Possess basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.

Responsibilities

Approach all encounters with guests and employees with a smile.
Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant menus and specials.
Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of the service bar, bar tables, stations, and service areas.
Take guest orders quickly and accurately.
Accommodate guest requests or offer appropriate alternatives.
Check that guests are enjoying their meals and take action to resolve problems.
Prepare meal checks and collect payments, including operating the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change, and processing gift cards, room credits, and vouchers.
Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
