About The Position

U.S. Servico, Inc. is hiring a full-time, hands-on Evening Janitorial Supervisor to oversee cleaning services across locations in and around Troy, Michigan. The role is typically Monday through Friday, with a normal start time of 3:00 p.m. and possible weekend coverage as needed. The position is expected to be 32–40 hours per week and pays $19.00 per hour, with biweekly pay. The supervisor may cover locations in Auburn Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Clinton Township, Farmington Hills, Shelby Township, Southfield, Sterling Heights, Macomb Township, and Troy.

The supervisor establishes work standards, evaluates sites and employee performance, trains staff, maintains cleanliness and safety standards, and provides coverage when employees are absent or shifts are open. The role also involves hands-on commercial cleaning when needed, coordinating janitorial supplies and closet organization, and completing inspections using a cellphone application. Cleaning work includes mopping, vacuuming, detailing, dusting, wiping surfaces, removing trash, cleaning bathrooms, and stocking supplies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must understand and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• At least 2 years of commercial cleaning experience reflected on a résumé.
• Previous management experience required.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Self-directed.
• Ability to use a cellphone application for timekeeping and inspection reports.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma and/or GED is encouraged.
• Previous commercial cleaning experience in office, medical, or retail settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish work standards.
• Conduct site evaluations to ensure locations meet the expected scope of work and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations.
• Orient and train employees.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, quality, and safety.
• Administer written or verbal disciplinary action as needed.
• Fill in for absent employees and clean service areas according to Servico standards when needed.
• Complete special work projects as requested.
• Cover open shifts.
• Work with the warehouse to ensure janitorial closets are stocked.
• Evaluate janitorial closets for organization.
• Use cleaning equipment as needed, including canister or backpack vacuums, walk-behind floor scrubbers, and mopping systems.
• Use various cleaning chemicals.
• Use a cellphone application to clock in and out, complete inspection reports, and post pictures.
• Arrive at scheduled locations on time.
• Work as part of a team or independently, with minimal supervision from upper management.
• Perform basic commercial cleaning, mopping and vacuuming, detailing, dusting and wet wiping, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, and supply stocking.
