About The Position

The Janitorial Cleaner performs a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities to maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The position includes routine floor and surface cleaning, restroom sanitation, waste removal, glass cleaning, and proper care of cleaning equipment and supplies. The cleaner reports maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages and may help set up and clean up meetings, events, or special projects. The role follows safety procedures and company cleaning and sanitation protocols.

This is an evening schedule, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The listed pay is $17.50 per hour; a specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data. The role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience or education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
