About The Position

U.S. Servico, Inc. is hiring a full-time, hands-on Assistant Janitorial Supervisor for evening work in the Redford, Michigan area. The position is typically Monday through Friday, with possible weekend coverage as needed, and normally starts at 5:00 p.m. The schedule is 32–40 hours per week. The role covers service locations in areas including Ann Arbor, Farmington Hills, Inkster, Livonia, Northville, Novi, Plymouth, Redford, and Southfield. Pay is $17.00 per hour, with a gas card and biweekly pay. The Assistant Janitorial Supervisor establishes work standards, evaluates sites and janitor closets, and helps ensure cleaning meets customer expectations and Servico standards for cleanliness, quality, and safety. The position includes orienting and training employees, covering open shifts and absent employees, coordinating supply stocking with the warehouse, and completing special projects. When needed, the supervisor performs commercial cleaning duties, uses cleaning equipment and chemicals, and completes inspections using cellphone applications. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.

At least 2 years of commercial cleaning experience reflected on a resume.

Responsibilities

Establish work standards.
Conduct site evaluations to ensure locations are cleaned and detailed to customer satisfaction and according to the expected scope of work.
Orient and train employees.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, quality, and safety.
Fill in for absent employees by cleaning service areas according to Servico standards when needed.
Complete special work projects as requested.

Work with the warehouse to ensure janitor closets are stocked.
Evaluate janitor closets for organization.
Use cleaning equipment when required, such as canister or backpack vacuums, walk-behind floor scrubbers, and mopping systems.
Use various cleaning chemicals.
Use cellphone applications to clock in and out, complete inspection reports, and post pictures.
Arrive at scheduled locations on time.
Work effectively in a team setting or individually with minimal supervision.
Perform commercial cleaning duties, including mopping, vacuuming, detailing, dusting, wet wiping, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, and supply stocking.
