About The Position

U.S. Servico, Inc. is hiring a full-time, hands-on Assistant Janitorial Supervisor serving Farmington Hills and other cities in the area. The role typically works Monday through Friday, with possible weekend coverage as needed, and normally starts at 5:00 p.m. The schedule is 32–40 hours per week. Pay is $17.00 per hour, paid biweekly, plus a gas card. The position involves supervising and supporting commercial cleaning operations, conducting inspections, training employees, and filling in to clean when needed. The supervisor may work at sites in Auburn Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Clinton Township, Farmington Hills, Shelby Township, Southfield, Sterling Heights, Macomb Township, and Troy. The role requires travel up to 75% and use of cellphone applications for timekeeping and inspection reports.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle or transportation to job sites.
Ability to travel up to 75%.
At least 2 years of commercial cleaning experience reflected on the resume.
Previous management experience required.
Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure and be self-directed.
Ability to understand and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
Ability to use cellphone applications for timekeeping and inspection reporting.
Ability to use cleaning equipment and various cleaning chemicals.
Ability to bend, stand, and lift, including lifting up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school education and/or GED is encouraged.
Previous commercial cleaning experience in office, medical, or retail settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

Establish work standards.
Conduct site evaluations to ensure work meets customer satisfaction and the expected scope of work.
Orient and train employees.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, quality, and safety.
Fill in for absent employees and clean service areas according to Servico standards when needed.
Complete special work projects as requested.
Cover open shifts.
Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure janitor closets are stocked.
Evaluate janitor closets for organization.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals as required.
Use cellphone applications to clock in and out, complete inspection reports, and post pictures.
Arrive at scheduled locations on time.
Work as part of a team or independently, with minimal supervision.
Perform basic commercial cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, detailing, dusting and wet wiping, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, and supply stocking.
