About The Position

The Evening Checker position is located at Schnucks’ Lake St. Louis, Missouri store. Candidates must be available to work until 10 p.m. and on weekends. The role offers 20–25 hours per week. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Must be available to work until 10 p.m. and on weekends.
• Must be able to bend and stoop.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work on their feet for the entire 4–8-hour shift.
• Internal store/facility candidates: a minimum of six months’ employment with Schnucks is preferred; candidates must be in good standing, and interview invitations require manager approval based on performance.
• Internal Store Support Center candidates: a minimum of one year’s employment with Schnucks is preferred; candidates must be in good standing, and interview invitations require manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Greet customers before checking their orders.
• Accurately check out customer purchases.
• Identify produce items and use produce and product codes correctly.
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons, and process manufacturer coupons.
• Collect the correct amount due from customers.
• Correctly accept cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers, and other payment options.
• Complete register records accurately.
• Practice and maintain cash security.
• Bag customer orders.
• Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes.
• Perform other duties assigned at the discretion of store management.
