About The Position

At HomeGoods, part of TJX Companies, the role supports store operations and customer experience by executing receiving and merchandising standards, helping Associates process merchandise efficiently, and working collaboratively as a team. The position contributes to a clean, organized, and safe store, models exceptional customer service, and helps maintain merchandise, backroom, and signage standards. The posting also includes responsibilities for coordinating truck deliveries and coaching Associates, as well as promoting store programs and supporting shrink reduction.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive experience for internal and external customers.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Coordinate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates and provide progress updates.
Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
