About The Position

Seasons Supermarkets is one of the largest Kosher supermarket chains in the nation, with eight locations across the Tri-State area. It provides customers with a full-service kosher shopping experience and treats associates like family. Seasons is seeking a friendly, dependable, customer-focused part-time Evening Cashier for its Lakewood location. The cashier provides fast, accurate, and courteous checkout service, serving as the face of the store and helping ensure customers have a positive experience before they leave.

Requirements

Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic math skills and confidence handling cash transactions.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable and punctual.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with a friendly, professional attitude.
Accurately scan merchandise and process customer purchases.
Accept cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, EBT, and other approved payment methods.
Count back change accurately and balance the cash drawer.
Bag groceries carefully, protecting delicate and perishable items.
Answer customer questions and direct customers to the appropriate department when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
Follow company cash-handling, security, and loss prevention procedures.
Verify identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
Assist with returns, exchanges, and price checks following company procedures.
Work with supervisors and fellow associates to keep checkout lines moving efficiently.
Perform other front-end duties as assigned.
