Evening Case Manager Domestic & Sexual Violence Program
About The Position
Unity House of Troy, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Victim Advocate to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our residential shelter. Ideal candidates are empathetic, dependable, and comfortable working second shift. $1250 sign on bonus may apply Shifts Available: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Overtime opportunities available) Unity House is a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling. We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. Requirements
- 1+ year of experience working with domestic violence survivors or a similar population
- Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Spanish-speaking a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed, victim-centered support and case management
- Assist clients with housing searches, safety planning, and life skills development
- Answer hotlines and provide crisis intervention and referrals
- Promote a culture of inclusion and respect
