Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) is a plus.
• Ability to work evening shifts.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous.
• Proficient at transcribing information from paperwork to our digital lab system, fast typing a plus

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive and log incoming specimens for testing.
• Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of samples.
• Prepare specimens for analysis
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to prioritize urgent samples.
• Assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies.
• Document and report any discrepancies or issues with specimens.
• Adhere to all regulatory and quality assurance standards.
