About The Position

Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1970, committed to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services. GPHA has expanded to become a premier provider of primary and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. They are currently seeking full-time Evaluator/Urgent Care Specialists for their Behavioral Healthcare Division. These positions will perform a wide variety of tasks aimed at the lasting rehabilitation of substance abusers, including individual counseling, group work, and support of ancillary activities. The role also involves assisting in the development of mental health services and providing direct services to patients admitted by the GPHA/AL-ASSIST Behavioral Health Care Program.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Human Services field or related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience in substance abuse or related field.

Nice To Haves

• Psychology background.
• One year counseling experience.
• LPC OR LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of tasks designed to effect the lasting rehabilitation of substance abusers.
• Conduct individual counseling.
• Facilitate group work.
• Support ancillary activities.
• Assist in the development of mental health services.
• Provide direct services to all patients admitted by the GPHA/AL-ASSIST Behavioral Health Care Program.
