About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Evaluation Coordinator in Boca Raton, FL. This position plays a critical role in evaluating applicant credentials, rendering admissions decisions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student records, and resolving complex admissions-related issues.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assess student applications and credentials according to FAU's established rubric, applying professional judgment and aligning decisions with enrollment objectives.
  • Independently render admissions decisions, consulting with Admissions/Provost leadership on appeals and further evaluations as needed.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues related to student information and the integrity of documents.
  • Investigate and report suspected falsified credentials to the Director of Operations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity to support internal operations and external reporting requirements.
  • Attends regular training on using Slate CRM, Banner, and OnBase Document Imaging and collaborates with IT and other departments on new technologies and processes.
  • Develop professional email correspondence and canned responses to communicate effectively with applicants, internal and external colleagues, and administrators (Registrar, University Advising, NACES Evaluation Agencies, etc.).
  • Acts as a primary point of contact for complex issues.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of student files and portfolios by updating information such as test scores, essays, transcripts, and academic credentials received during the application cycle.
  • Ensure quality control and data verification for the BOG SIF File and internal reports using Slate and Banner.
  • Generate and process admissions reports, including decision-ready lists, wait lists, and cancellations, collaborating closely with Information Systems staff for data extraction.
  • Provide support during recruitment events.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Associate Director.
