About The Position
The Investigation Specialist supports the Ethics & Compliance function by assisting with internal investigations related to alleged misconduct, policy violations, and ethical concerns. This role is primarily focused on investigative support, fact-finding, documentation, and case management rather than decision-making or violation determinations.
Requirements
- Bilingual – French & English
- Bachelor’s degree (examples: Paralegal, political science, criminology, psychology)
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the legal or compliance field

Responsibilities
- Assist Ethics & Compliance investigators with interviews, including: Attending interviews, Taking detailed and accurate notes, Drafting interview summaries and investigative summaries
- Support investigations stemming from reports submitted via the Speak Up Hub or routed from HR
- Organize, track, and maintain investigative files for multiple concurrent cases (often 20+ active files)
- Review, organize, and analyze documents relevant to investigations (e.g., emails, policies, reports)
- Draft timelines that outline sequences of events and key facts for each investigation
- Ensure investigative records are complete, well-documented, and maintained in accordance with governance and legal requirements
- Use case management systems to log, update, and track investigation progress
- Coordinate documentation and information flow between Ethics & Compliance, HR, and Legal as required
- Support reporting and audit readiness by maintaining accurate case data
- Provide clerical and administrative assistance related to investigations
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Support process consistency and adherence to Ethics & Compliance protocols
- Support a high-volume investigation environment, with hundreds of reports received annually
- Manage multiple investigations simultaneously across locations, with a primary focus on Longueuil
- Act as a key support resource for Ethics & Compliance investigators handling complex and sensitive matters
