About The Position
The Silver Lake Regional School District and Superintendency Union #31 districts are seeking multiple certified nurses to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The ESY program serves students aged 3-22. The program runs from July 7 - August 6, 2026, Monday - Thursday. Nurses will be assigned by the Director of Student Services or designee to sites that best meet the needs of the students and programming. Nurses will be compensated for non-direct service time for Open House/Orientation and pre-program preparation.

Responsibilities
- Review health records for all students.
- Assess and evaluate students' health while at the ESY program, as needed.
- Document first aid and illness care provided to staff and students.
- Complete accident reports and maintain a health room activity log.
- Maintain First Aid supplies and equipment in appropriate locations.
- Utilize effective techniques to counsel students, parents, and school personnel and plan action for eliminating, minimizing, or accepting health problems.
- Administer medication as prescribed and approved.
