About The Position

The Estimator is responsible for utilizing residential blueprints to complete load calculations, duct designs and material takeoffs to determine spend and material required to complete HVAC installations for residential new construction homes. Interprets blueprints and CAD drawings to create HVAC load calculations and designs. Estimates the amount of materials and cost of labor to complete the installation of HVAC systems in new residential homes. Communicates directly to each divisions’ sales & administrative teams when necessary. Returns all necessary information back to the assigned division in a timely manner to continue with the bid process. Communicates all internal issues or questions to the team leader or Estimating Manager. Ability to forecast the needs of materials per each blueprint. Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety. Other duties as assigned. Duties may vary by location.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess basic CAD operating skills.
• Ability to learn and operate estimating and load calculation software efficiently.
• General computer competency is required, including a minimum of 1-year experience Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekends hours may occasionally be required.
