Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent DESCRIPTION: As an Estimating Intern at Fisk Electric, reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will have the opportunity to: receive guidance from estimating team to learn the concepts and process of conceptual estimates & budgets up to $1M, develop detailed cost estimates and proactively identify deficiencies and/or questions, and actively assist the project team toward the answers. Assist in estimating tasks for technical, healthcare, or industrial projects Support the development of conceptual estimates and budgets Help review proposal scopes to ensure accurate cost estimates Assist in detailed cost analysis, identifying questions or missing information Review contract documents to understand scope changes and cost impacts Gain hands-on experience with estimating software (McCormick, Bluebeam) Perform basic estimate take-offs under guidance Develop foundational knowledge of NEC and industry standards Fisk Electric builds extraordinary projects and we need exceptional talent. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Foundational understanding of engineering fundamentals with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to perform accurate quantity take-offs

Nice To Haves

  • experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, McCormick, and Acrobat is a plus

Responsibilities
