About The Position

Solitude is seeking a confident, passionate spa Esthetician to join its spa department at Solitude Mountain Spa / The Inn. The role serves high-expectation clientele by providing attentive, personalized services that address guests’ concerns and needs. The ideal candidate is empathetic, caring, professional, communicative, and able to help clients feel good about themselves. The position is full-time and seasonal, with commission plus tips.

The Esthetician performs facial, waxing, and body treatments, maintains treatment rooms and supplies, builds clientele, and recommends complementary services and retail products. The role requires standing for up to eight hours per day and reliable transportation through Big Cottonwood Canyon during winter road conditions.

Requirements

• Hold a Utah-qualified Esthetician license.
• Experience providing facial treatments and waxing.
• Experience providing a variety of body treatments, including wraps and scrubs.
• Professional attitude and positive demeanor.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and punctual.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of aesthetic techniques and regional skin conditions, including dry climate and high altitude.
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours each day.
• Reliable transportation for commuting through Big Cottonwood Canyon in winter seasonal road conditions, using UTA bus, employee carpool, or a vehicle with approved snow tires and/or chains when required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 20 minutes before the first service and be on-site and ready to receive clients.
• Build clientele for themselves and the spa.
• Ensure treatment rooms are cleaned according to protocol, in working order, and properly stocked for the next session.
• Maintain product knowledge and recommend complementary spa treatments.
• Recommend and sell retail products.
• Assist with restocking treatment reagents and laundering linens.
• Read and adhere to scheduling policies and procedures.
• Attend all spa trainings and meetings.
• Provide multiple high-quality, consistent facial and body treatments each day.
