About The Position

Brock University is seeking an ESL Instructor for the International English Language Program (IELP). This position is part-time, running from September 9, 2026, to December 16, 2026. The role involves teaching assigned courses, preparing course materials, evaluating student work, and contributing to a positive work environment. Requirements

Bachelor degree
TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum
Master’s level qualifications in related areas – e.g. Applied Linguistics, English, Languages – shall also be taken into account
Post-secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL, and particularly overseas, is very desirable.
Employees are required to work on campus as needed.

Responsibilities

Teaching all courses as assigned in the scheduled period of instruction.
Preparing course syllabus and lesson plans, ensuring alignment with course and program learning outcomes.
Marking and evaluation of in-class work and record keeping.
Attending pre-sessional instructor orientation sessions, as well as post session grade review meeting.
Communicating effectively and professionally with colleagues and staff.
Attending departmental meetings.
Participating in events such as closing ceremonies and orientation.
Contributing to a positive work environment.
