About The Position
The ESE Classroom Aide assists the teacher in carrying out the requirements of individual education plans for exceptional students. The position has physical demands beyond those of Light Work, including exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- In addition to a high school diploma or GED, one of the following: an associate or higher degree from an accredited college, 60 semester hours, or a passing score of 458 or higher on the Paraprofessional Test.
- Must be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher in carrying out the requirements of individual education plans for exceptional students.
Benefits
- An additional $500 for 60 or more semester hours, added to base salary.
- An additional $750 for an associate or higher degree, added to base salary.
