About The Position
The ESE Classroom Aide assists the teacher in carrying out the requirements of individual education plans for exceptional students. This is a tentative position for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves physical demands in excess of those for Light Work: exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or more than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- In addition to a high school diploma or GED, one of the following: an associate or higher degree from an accredited college; 60 semester hours; or a passing score of 464 or higher on the Paraprofessional Test.
Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher in carrying out the requirements of individual education plans of exceptional students.
Benefits
- $500 additional pay for 60 or more semester hours, added to base salary.
- $750 additional pay for an associate or higher degree, added to base salary.
