About The Position

As an Escrow/Closing Coordinator, you'll meticulously ensure all necessary paperwork related to the sales contracts processing is accurate, complete and the closing process is smooth and timely. You'll be the central point of contact, coordinating between home buyers, sales counselors, lenders, and title companies. In our fast-paced environment, your quick decision-making and clear communication will be key to ensuring smooth and timely closings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • 1 year of experience working in an office setting preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle various personalities and develop professional relationships.
  • Action-oriented with a drive to push projects and tasks to successful closure.
  • Customer-centric approach, seeking solutions from the customer’s perspective.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts accurately and persuasively.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, valuing others' ideas and cooperating willingly.
  • Quick and accurate decision-making based on facts, data, and metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Temporary part time (under 30 hours) 6-month assignment.
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to move about work location.
  • Ability to drive/travel as needed.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).

Responsibilities

  • Start all escrow processes and review contract packages for assigned communities to ensure accuracy and legal compliance. Manage corrections and obtain necessary signatures within DRE timelines.
  • Organize and monitor sales information for assigned communities using KB programs, and track progress from sale to acceptance in the Weekly Sales Report.
  • Maintain communication with KBHS and outside lenders, ensuring timely proof of buyer’s loan application and conditional loan approval. Provide required documents to keep loan processing on track and update lenders on construction status for appraisals and loan locks.
  • Provide necessary documents to title companies, update them on construction closing timelines, and assist in keeping lenders on track for closing escrow.
  • Address questions from sales, construction, lenders, and title companies regarding the status and progress of each sale/closing. Elevate any issues to the manager as needed.
  • Communicate with construction teams about home readiness for appraisals, final appraisals, New Home Orientation, and sign-off.
  • Confirm with lenders that appraisals and all necessary documents are in hand. Ensure loan documents are at the title company in advance of closing escrow. Assist title companies in coordinating lender and final sign-off with the title signing date.
