About The Position

Transports patients admitted to the hospital to their assigned rooms and assists with transportation needs upon dismissal or short-term leave. Completes transports in a timely manner, maintains clean equipment, and interacts politely and professionally with patients, visitors, and medical center staff. Works independently, frequently receiving direction by phone or pager.

The position requires flexible hours, including days, evenings, day/evening shifts, holidays, weekends, and split shifts, with rotating days off. During selection, candidates may be asked to complete a prerecorded OnDemand interview at their convenience. Mayo Clinic staff will review the completed interview and notify candidates of next steps.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication, telephone, and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, guests, and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
