About The Position

BTIG seeks a Vice President to support its Equity Research team in the Energy and Infrastructure space. The role assists a Senior Analyst covering Energy and Infrastructure-focused companies, with an emphasis on primary research, financial analysis, and due diligence on industry trends, company management, and strategies. The ideal candidate is self-starting, highly motivated, and hardworking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as a PhD or MD in relevant fields are valued but not mandatory.
• Five or more years of experience in equity research or investment banking preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for the energy and infrastructure sector.
• Strong work ethic, creative problem-solving skills, and a resourceful approach to research.
• Advanced skill in building and maintaining financial models and forecasts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to excel in high-intensity, fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (PhD or MD) in a relevant field.
• Five or more years of experience in equity research or investment banking.
• Series SIE, 63, 86, and 87 licenses; not required upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain sophisticated financial models to support company analysis, client recommendations, and investment themes.
• Monitor and communicate daily news flow, sector developments, and key company events to senior analysts.
• Design and execute primary research, including surveys of physicians and engagement with Key Opinion Leaders, to gather proprietary insights.
• Draft and contribute to comprehensive research reports, including original ideas, sector and company updates, breaking news, and initiation coverage.
• Develop and sustain relationships with company management teams, industry contacts, internal sales and trading personnel, and institutional investors as experience grows.
