About The Position

Jireh Semiconductor has an opening for an entry-level equipment technician supporting the Thin Films area in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. The technician will receive on-the-job training and will primarily build parts to support preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of assigned equipment. Training will also cover the company’s Emergency Response procedures. This is a day-shift position scheduled Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday, from 6:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Requirements

Mechanical experience or aptitude, such as automotive work, pump work, or general repairs.
Strong technical capability.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability and desire to learn and work independently once trained.
Ability to read schematics.
Basic understanding of electrical and electronics theory.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to obtain respirator certification for use in the facility.

Nice To Haves

Technical associate degree, military training, or trade school experience.

Responsibilities

Build parts for semiconductor equipment maintenance.
Perform routine preventative maintenance.
Work with equipment, production, and process groups to schedule and prioritize preventative maintenance.
Act as a technical resource for tool and maintenance-system improvement projects.
Keep equipment, safety, and incident-response certifications current.
Track and report daily activities through verbal and written pass-downs.
Participate on the company’s Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Perform field repairs of assemblies as needed.
