About The Position
Timber Ridge Landfill is seeking an entry-level heavy equipment operator in Richwoods, Missouri. The operator performs landfill and site work, including spreading and compacting trash, placing daily cover, excavating soil, maintaining haul roads, and hauling soil. Successful candidates are expected to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced team environment, outdoors in all types of weather, and contribute to operational excellence and accountability.
Requirements
- Ability to operate several pieces of light equipment throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to follow safe operating practices.
- Ability to learn and use interpersonal skills related to good customer service.
- Ability to write and comprehend reports sufficiently to complete daily assignments.
Responsibilities
- Spread and compact trash using a compactor.
- Spread daily cover using a dozer.
- Excavate soil using an excavator.
- Maintain haul roads using a grader.
- Haul soil.
