About The Position

The Equipment Programmer / Parts Processor programs CNC fabrication equipment, nests and prepares cut files, routes material, and processes steel components to meet production requirements. The position combines computer-based programming and planning with hands-on parts processing to support accurate, efficient, safe production of quality components for fabrication. The role works with CNC equipment including drill and saw lines, plate processors, plasma cutters, tube cutters, and angle processing equipment. It uses Tekla PowerFab to route material, manage processing information, and support production workflows, and involves interpreting 3D CNC programs, shop drawings, blueprints, cut lists, and material specifications. Parts are processed with equipment such as band saws, drills, ironworkers, plasma torches, shears, punches, and press brakes. The position supports parts department employees, follows safety procedures, maintains an organized work area, communicates production issues, and cross-trains or assists elsewhere in the shop as production requires. Work is primarily in a manufacturing shop, with possible exposure to outdoor weather, temperature extremes, noise, and normal shop hazards.
