Parts Processor - Shipping

About The Position
Hobart Service and Parts, part of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), support the food equipment industry through service solutions and parts distribution for commercial food equipment. This position handles shipping customer orders and a variety of parts-processing operations under general supervision. The employee plans and arranges their own work and the work of lower-level parts processors, referring questionable issues to a supervisor. The role also includes auditing picked parts and maintaining accurate inventory records and an orderly, safe work area.
Requirements
- Accredited high school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of experience in a warehouse environment with parts.
- Knowledge of receiving stock and non-stock parts.
- PC and PIPs system knowledge and operating ability.
- Good interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on working in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to be flexible in working overtime, different shifts, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist in auditing parts that have been picked.
- Accurately and efficiently pick customer and production orders.
- Prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Accurately count inventory in locations.
- Record inventory transactions in the computer system.
- Keep the work area orderly and participate in housekeeping duties.
- Support and maintain a safe workplace, including observing safety rules.
- Plan and arrange own work and the work of lower-level parts processors, referring questionable issues to a supervisor.
