Equipment Operator II
About The Position
Operate mowing and grounds maintenance equipment, maintain airport ground and landscaped areas. This role involves operating mowing equipment, maintaining landscaped areas, flowerbeds, and planters, and trimming and fertilizing trees. The Equipment Operator II will also assist in landscape renovation, maintain ditch and canal banks, and dispense fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Additionally, the role requires operating small power tools and hand tools for horticultural and landscaping tasks. A key responsibility is maintaining contact with the Control Tower for safe operations on the Airport Operations Area (AOA) and staying current on emergency response procedures. Daily equipment inspections and operator maintenance are also part of the duties.

- Stay current on all GOAA emergency response procedures and performs emergency response as required.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and operational tests to confirm the equipment is capable of responding in an emergency.
- Perform regular cleaning and prescribed operator maintenance tasks on equipment.
