About The Position
The Equipment Inspector is responsible for thoroughly inspecting trucks and trailers to ensure they are safe and compliant for operation. The role includes checking trailers entering and exiting the yard, inspecting exterior components, and examining trailers arriving from Mexico for damage or mechanical defects. This position offers an opportunity to learn the transportation operation and start or grow a career in the industry.
Requirements
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic trailer knowledge or experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trailers entering and exiting the yard.
- Inspect tires, lights, and other exterior components to confirm they are in safe operating condition.
- Inspect trailers arriving from Mexico for damage and mechanical defects.
- Ensure equipment enters and departs in a timely and authorized manner.
