The Equipment Engineering Technician Lead - Nights will lead shift technicians on daily priorities and assignments provided by Equipment Engineers and Manager. This role involves setting priorities based on production needs, following up and providing updates on critical tasks and projects, and guiding/mentoring shift technicians on troubleshooting. The Lead will also supervise shift technicians regarding attendance and performance, and maintain various wafer processing tools as directed by management, equipment engineers, and/or senior technicians. A key responsibility is the ability to run equipment to validate corrective actions and coordinate/perform both reactive maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance on various wafer and assembly processing tools to maintain optimal uptime, including all support equipment such as pumps, power supplies, and gas cabinets. The role requires tracking, recording, and communicating progress of maintenance work, training and mentoring new team members, and ensuring the technician team has necessary tools. The Lead will apply appropriate troubleshooting skills to correctly repair common failures, assist senior technicians and engineers in data collection to resolve reoccurring equipment issues, and utilize available training materials to meet personal improvement goals. Participation in team meetings for continuous improvements and attending vendor offsite training as required are also part of the role. The Lead will coordinate maintenance activities with the EES Manager and Engineers/Technicians, provide timely updates on equipment status to management and the Camstar System, and may be required to travel domestically and internationally. Supporting engineering improvement projects and providing insight on tool improvement and projects are expected. This position is also a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
