Equipment Technician Lead
About The Position
As the Equipment Technician Lead, you will lead temporary and full-time employees in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen and building equipment. You will serve as a primary point of contact for regulatory inspections, coordinate with outside vendors to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, and facilitate work needed to meet applicable codes and standards. In this role, you will also perform maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of industrial and conventional kitchen appliances and building equipment, helping to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.
Requirements
- High school graduation or possession of a GED certificate.
- Two years of experience as a journey-level mechanic repairing heavy duty or commercial/industrial equipment.
- Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
- Ability to respond to an emergency outside normal business hours.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience with domestic and/or industrial appliance repair.
- Experience leading or supervising employees.
