About The Position

We are looking for an Equipment Engineering Technician to join our Maintenance team at the US 5G Smart Factory. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support for factory manufacturing production equipment, helping to enable high-volume production operations across key areas including Surface Mount Technology, Final Assembly, Testing, New Product Introduction/Product Technology Development, and Warehouse automated systems. This position reports to the Technician Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Familiarity with automation processes and components
  • Proficiency with technical documentation and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, engineering specifications, maintenance manuals, and work instructions
  • Proactive approach with commitment to delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime and variable shift hours as needed
  • Reliable and consistent attendance
  • Ability to lift items weighing more than 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in a technical field preferred; or a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, electro-mechanical systems, or electrical/electronics
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic and functionality is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform torque verifications on pneumatic screwdrivers to ensure quality standards are met in the manufacturing and assembly of Ericsson radios
  • Provide service and support to Universal Robots used in Electronic Final Assembly
  • Assist with the setup and installation of new manual Final Assembly lines and production equipment
  • Deliver general technical support across the factory, including installing shelves for production lines, repairing mechanical equipment, and supporting reconfiguration of production lines
  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and resolve equipment issues, and conduct calibration and setup for current and newly installed manufacturing equipment
  • Identify equipment challenges, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions to improve overall performance
  • Support equipment installations, commissioning, relocation, enhancements, and modifications
  • Maintain continuous process control, perform data analysis, and provide recommendations to increase equipment uptime
  • Communicate with vendors and coordinate vendor support and services
  • Prepare technical summary reports with recommended actions to share during shift transitions and with Engineering and Management teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
