About The Position

ChildServe is hiring a full-time, entry-level Equipment and Inventory Coordinator based at its Johnston location. The coordinator helps ensure staff have the products, materials, equipment, and supplies they need to operate efficiently. The schedule is Monday through Friday during general business hours, with a holiday rotation and infrequent weekends based on service needs.

ChildServe partners with families to help children with special healthcare needs live a great life. It provides pediatric specialty services across complex medical care, pediatric rehabilitation, autism and behavioral health, and community-based services. Established in 1928, ChildServe serves nearly 6,000 children in Iowa each year through more than 30 pediatric specialty services. Requirements

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in English, in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, move within clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
• Ability to maneuver within the physical work environment with some bending, stooping, reaching, and light lifting.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous inventory or purchasing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with staff to fulfill supply and inventory needs.
• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders; document and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized storage areas and safely move, store, and distribute inventory using appropriate equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels, process inventory transactions, rotate stock, and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Prepare and deliver supplies to on-site and off-site locations.
• Provide departmental backup support as needed.
