About The Position

As an Equine Underwriting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience and exposure to equine underwriting. Provide risk analysis examination and entry level underwriting.

Requirements

• Computer and administrative skills – general working knowledge of MS Office.
• Equine Industry knowledge.
• Strong emphasis on customer service and relationship building.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable team player.
• Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize projects.

Nice To Haves

• Hands on Equine/Equine Farm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• With the guidance, instruction and oversight of underwriting management, provide brokers competent & timely service, maintain accurate policy files and data management.
• Assess & rate equine risks, utilizing accurate pricing and established underwriting guidelines.
• Participate and contribute to special projects.
• Administrative support to the underwriting team as needed.
