About The Position

Assemble packaged sewage tank systems per engineered drawings. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and sub-assemblies according to work instructions, Bill of Materials, and best practices. The specialist will use electronic and pneumatic tools, maintain a clean work area to 6S standards, perform preventative maintenance, and operate overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and forklifts. The position requires adherence to ISO 9001 requirements and safety guidelines, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and complete tasks according to manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Basic personal computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mechanical assembly is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble package sewage tank systems from engineered drawings.
  • Complete mechanical, electrical, and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials, and best practices.
  • Use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Operate both stationary and moving overhead cranes.
  • Operate hand pallet jack and forklift.
  • Work at the direction of the Department Supervisor and Team Leads.
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in team meetings and projects.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Perform in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use good safety judgment.
  • Report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.
