About The Position

This role involves performing bench-type processes for mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies according to work instructions and Bill of Materials. The specialist will utilize electronic and pneumatic tools for product building, report defective materials, and maintain a clean and orderly work area adhering to 6S standards. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance on equipment, operating overhead cranes and pallet jacks, and completing tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision. The position requires participation in team meetings and projects, effective teamwork, and compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and safety guidelines. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Basic personal computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mechanical assembly is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials, and best practices.
  • Demonstrates ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per the defined reject process.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.
  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required per PM requirements.
  • Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes as necessary.
  • Operates hand pallet jack as necessary.
  • Works at the directions of the Department Supervisor and Team Leads.
  • Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Participates in team meetings and projects.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Performs in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Follows safety guidelines, maintains a clean and organized work area, and uses good safety judgment.
  • Reports all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.
