About The Position

Baker Manufacturing is seeking a Pump Product Specialist to provide technical and product support across our pump product lines. This position supports customers and internal teams with product selection, pump sizing, installation, troubleshooting, warranties, returns, pricing, and product information. The Pump Product Specialist also supports product development and product changes and works closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Purchasing, vendors, and customers to ensure accurate product information and strong customer support.

Requirements

Ability to read, interpret, and clearly communicate technical product information.
Strong customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyze information, troubleshoot problems, and develop practical solutions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, customer requests, and projects.
Working knowledge of business math, including percentages, proportions, pricing, and basic algebra.
Ability to work effectively across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and other departments.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Three to four years of related technical, product, pump, manufacturing, or customer support experience preferred.
Pump, water systems, mechanical equipment, plumbing, or related product knowledge is strongly preferred.
Product development or project coordination experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support related to pump sizing, product selection, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and application questions.
Manage product returns and warranty claims, including evaluating claims, determining appropriate credits, and coordinating resolutions with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
Respond to customer and sales inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, quotes, discounts, order status, certifications, submittments, part numbers, and technical information.
Assist with customer concerns involving incorrect or defective materials, shipments, billing questions, returns, and other product-related issues.
Evaluate new product requests and assist with proposals, forecasts, pricing, and profitability analysis.
Initiate and coordinate product changes and support new product development projects.
Support new product launches, including product bulletins, price lists, catalogs, website information, training materials, and other product documentation.
Work with Purchasing and vendors regarding product certifications, warranty claims, private-label products, and related requirements.
Coordinate direct-ship orders and assist with expediting materials and resolving product or shipment issues as needed.
Assist with internal product and customer service training.
Support product development, training, and promotional initiatives and attend trade shows as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
