About The Position

Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Epic Clinical Information System Analyst III for our Cupid Cardiology Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. This role involves leading advanced analysis and enterprise workflow design, architecting, configuring, building, testing, validating, optimizing, and maintaining Epic functionality and integrated solutions across application and operational boundaries. The analyst will lead the resolution of high-impact incidents, plan and lead complex application projects and upgrades, and serve as a senior liaison and subject matter expert for various stakeholders. They will establish and reinforce standards for application design and support, mentor other analysts, and evaluate emerging capabilities to recommend enterprise improvements. The position also requires providing leadership with status reporting and participating in go-lives and major event support outside normal business hours. Specific responsibilities include Cupid build and configuration for Cath and EP labs, non-invasive configuration for various cardiac procedures, integration with cardiovascular systems, and production support and optimization for cardiovascular leaders. The role also involves ensuring quality, registry, and compliance with standards like ACC NCDR, Joint Commission, and HIPAA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare, information systems, business, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • 7-8 years of direct clinical, healthcare operations, clinical information systems, application support, or related experience, including substantial experience leading complex implementations, upgrades, optimization, or production support in an integrated EHR environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large workstreams, directing cross-functional teams, and mentoring analysts is required.
  • Must be able to maintain required Epic credentials and participate in travel, on-call coverage, and extended-hour support for major projects and operational events as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced analysis and enterprise workflow design; architect, configure, build, test, validate, optimize, and maintain Epic functionality and integrated solutions across application and operational boundaries.
  • Lead resolution of high-impact, ambiguous, or cross-application incidents and problems; direct root-cause analysis, coordinate technical and operational responders, develop durable corrective actions, and communicate through closure.
  • Plans and leads large or highly complex application projects, upgrades, implementations, and optimization initiatives; establishes approach, scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, testing strategy, implementation readiness, and outcome measures.
  • Serves as a senior liaison and subject matter expert for operational leaders, governance bodies, Epic representatives, end users, vendors, and technical and application teams; facilitates decisions and escalates issues through defined governance channels.
  • Establishes and reinforces standards for application design, build, integrated testing, change control, documentation, release readiness, data validation, and production support; performs quality review of complex work.
  • Mentors and develops analysts, coordinates shared work, provides technical direction, and leads knowledge transfer, training, and support-readiness activities without requiring formal supervisory authority.
  • Evaluates emerging capabilities, regulatory and patient-safety requirements, operational performance, and user feedback to recommend enterprise improvements and sustainable Epic solutions.
  • Provides leadership with concise status, risk, dependency, budget or resource, and milestone reporting; participates in go-lives, upgrades, downtimes, and major-event support outside normal business hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Cupid Build and Configuration: Cath and EP lab procedure documentation, sedation, and implant and supply tracking.
  • Non-invasive Configuration: echo, ECG, stress testing, and Holter and event monitoring, with structured reports and cardiologist reading worklists.
  • Integration and Cross-Application Coordination with hemodynamic monitoring, ECG management, cardiovascular imaging and PACS, and device interrogation.
  • Work with teams that configure: Radiant, OpTime, Anesthesia, Cadence, ClinDoc, Ambulatory, Supply Chain, and Resolute.
  • Design sessions, device integration testing, and support in cardiovascular areas for go live and beyond.
  • Production Support and Optimization: Handle incidents, on-call if applicable, lab utilization and report turnaround analysis, and dashboards for cardiovascular leaders.
  • Quality, Registry, and Compliance: Data capture for ACC NCDR registries; Joint Commission, sedation, and radiation safety requirements; and HIPAA.
