About The Position

The Epic Professional Billing Application Analyst II is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting the clinical, financial, or administrative Epic modules within their area of support. This role oversees practices and processes to ensure the integrity, safety, and availability of all data and applications, supporting both customer goals and the business needs of Hoag. The analyst collaborates with key stakeholders, end users, and business teams to optimize system configuration, function, and access, recommending technology solutions based on business needs. A strong understanding of the organization’s policies, procedures, and business operations is essential. The analyst will independently manage problem tickets, service requests, system change requests, data retrieval requests, system performance issues, and optimization opportunities, ensuring timely resolution. They will troubleshoot and resolve complex application errors and system issues, and actively lead the build and maintenance of system dictionaries, profiles, tables, and other configuration points. Identifying system enhancement requests and working with the team for implementation is also a key responsibility. The role involves independently managing small to medium-sized optimization requests, with the capacity to handle larger and more complex requests over time, coordinating with vendors as needed. Testing of the system, including configurations, customizations, and new releases, prior to production implementation is required. The analyst will work with end-users on the design and testing of system reports and communicate changes to relevant staff. Participation in various projects, including system design, validation, and remediation sessions, is expected. Understanding data flow and supporting/developing interface files are also part of the role. Additionally, the analyst will develop and maintain documentation, such as knowledge base articles, outlining standard operating and support procedures. All functions are to be performed with minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned.
